2 Day Japanese Embroidery Workshop

Unleash your stitching creativity with our 2-Day Japanese Embroidery Workshop! No prior experience is necessary. Karyn Plater will guide you through each step of the process, sharing her mastery of the traditional skills of Japanese embroidery.  Immerse yourself in the intricate art of nihon shishu as you explore the traditional motif: Shochikubai. Discover the symbolism behind this traditional art form and create a stunning piece that reflects longevity, fidelity, and integrity.

Students are required to bring: Notepad, pen, stitching supplies, scissors for fine threads, tweezers, magnification (if needed), light (if needed), and a minimum 16×14 bag to carry the project home in.

Cost: $175. Includes an Embroidery Kit containing: Frame, silk fabric, all silk and metal threads, laying tools, needles, wheat paste, tissue paper, clamps and instructions.
